Smart Cities 3rd List – As per a government release, the central government is going to announce the names of the last set of cities to be made smart under its flagship 100 Smart City scheme today.
In the third large smart cities competition, Uttar Pradesh has nominated three cities Kanpur, Agra and Varanasi followed by Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The Urban Development Ministry Venkaiah Naidu released the third list of selected cities on Tuesday. The Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu has released the third list of 27 cities. The list contains the names of 27 cities in 12 states. In this list, UP’s Kanpur, Agra and Varanasi are included.
According to the latest news, the Union Ministry is all set to announced the competition to identify the next set of 27 cities under Smart City Mission. The competition will be held on Monday next week. This news was released by the Union Minister of Urban Development Vehkkaiah Naidu.
