Prime Minister Naredra Modi inaugurates Badarpur Mujesar Metro Line today. This metro line will be allow for travel around two lakh daily commuters between national capital and the industrial hub in Haryana.

The nine-station metro corridor which was 95 per cent indigenous built will provide people a safe, affordable, quick, comfortable, reliable, environment-friendly and sustainable transport facility with Eco friendly metro service by providing solar power.
The nine stations in this section include, Sarai, NHPC Chowk, Mewala Maharajpur, Sector-28, Badkal Mor, Old Faridabad, Neelam Chowk Ajronda, Bata Chowk and Escorts Mujesar. All these are elevated and located on either side of the Delhi-Mathura Road (NH-2), he said.
After delivering the speech the Prime Minister has unveiled a plaque and inaugurate the Metro Extention by pressing a button from Escorts Mujesar Metro station.
The CM of Haryana Shri Lal Manohar Khattar thanked the Prime Minister for “gifting “ the Metro service which would take the city to “ another level of progress” with better connectivity with other NCR towns. Haryana state is called a state of development. The Haryana government is keen desire to develop many cities as smart cities but only two city Faridabad and Karnal have found its niche in the centre’s ‘Smart Cities Mission’.
According to the reports Haryana government’s secretariat of information technology (SIT) ties up with American multinational technology company CISCO Systems for collaboration in furthering the ‘smart city concept’ in the state.
Both Haryana government’s secretariat of information technology (SIT) and American multinational technology company CISCO have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the presence of Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and industries minister Capt Abhimanyu in San Francisco on Thursday.
Under the (MoU) CISCO will be shared its expertise and experience in the development of smart cities particularly its “safe plus smart plus connected”. These two institutions will work together in field of smart city and safe city infrastructure.
After the demand of seven smart cities in the state by Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. The Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar yesterday announced that the state government will develop two smart cities in Haryana.
“On the basis of population, two smart cities will be developed in Haryana for which parameters have been set and a survey will be conducted in this regard by July 21,” Khattar said in Rohtak.
He said that for developing smart cities, facilities like infrastructure, education, medical facility, electricity, water and participation of people would be checked.
“The Centre has initiated Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) and Awas Yojana where 500 cities throughout India will be developed under AMRUT and a target has been set to construct two crore houses for all in urban areas by next seven years under Awas Yojana,” Khattar said.
According to the reports, Haryana government would be constructed 100 new hospital buildings, 12 new community centres and 12 Primary Health during the year 2015-16. The Chief Minister said the state government has decided to open Medical College in every district to promote medical education in the state and in days to come, there will be at least one private or government medical college in every district.
