Siliguri should have to be included in the projected smart city list.

    • Sujay Das

Why you have not select siliguri as a smart city , because this is the center point of Nepal , Bhutan , Darjeeling, Sikim, also you can say main gate of northeastern region, you should have to think about that, no politics for north began, I hope so

      • Pradeep Kumar

        Dear Sir,
This is first phase of smart cities selection. In future your city will also be selected as smart city.

The government of India has announced 98 cities to be transcended to smart cities. A welcome decision in deed! What is left to be seen is how well the government deploys all the resources at manifesting this vision into a reality and how well the administration puts them to a productive use. There is another side to the success of this policy when it is materialized. When the government decides to make a city smart, the people should know what it exactly means as it is only then that they will be able to to upkeep what they receive. I recently came across a book titled “Smart City” by Arun Firodia, a well known entrepreneur from Pune, in which he presents a blueprint for a Smart Industrial City.

  • Ganapathy Subramani

I am only happy about this program to improve the Indian cities in every aspect, to make it on par with the global cities. Development, I think, should carry us forward together as a nation. By the word ‘together’, I mean to say that, people around all the four quarters must be helped or assisted in marching towards the destiny ‘Developed India’. It does not make sense if a part of the country is not adequately assisted in the process. I would rather urge the directors of the project to include more number of cities of North-eastern part of our country in the list of smart cities, so that the list becomes complete as well as nation building. Thank you.

      Dear Sir,
This is only a first phase of smart cities project in second phase more cities will be developed as smart cites under smart cities project.

Why only 3 cities in AP and 2 cities in many cities in AP and TL should be considered. neighbouring states like TN has almost 13 cities

Many cities like Kurnool,Guntur, cuddapah, ananthapur, ongole, tirupathi, nellore are deserved for this

    • Pradeep Kumar

      Dear Sir,
The smart city project is a government project. In the first phase the government has selected 98 cities but in future the government will select more cities to develop as smart cities.

NDA Government neglected Two Telugu States AP and Telangana. Already AP is cheated by bifurcation. I don’t know why AP is always being cheated and neglected. List shows partiality. Some states got 13 and 12 smart cities. Tamilnadu, UP, Maharastra got more number of smart cities. Why this partiality. NDA did nothing to AP.

  • Pulkit goyal

Why has patiala been listed out of the smart cities list whereas it was there in the list initially??? Kindly reply !!

    • Uttam Basumata

Yes I am surprised why this new list and what happened with the initial list? Udalguri from Assam was included in the first list now it is missing in the new list, is this cheating on the people?
