Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation to Send Smart City Proposal to Center
Municipal Corporation and Consultant firm have finalized Smart City Proposal. On Friday this proposal will be sent to the Union Urban Development Ministry. After several amendments, the final proposal of 2822 crores has been prepared.
This proposal was presented to UP Chief Secretary Rahul Bhatnagar last week. Consulting firm KPMG’s experts have also finalized the proposal after approving Proposal with Lucknow. However, the cost of the proposal is reduced by Rs 79 crores.
First, where the proposal of 2901 crores was ready, at the same time, after its amendment its cost has reached Rs 2822 crore. Municipal Corporation’s Executive Engineer and Smart City Mission’s Nodal Officer Sanjay Singh Chauhan said that out of these, Rs 1787 crore would be spent on Area Based Development and 649 crore Pan-city Solutions.
420 crores are included in the Smart City Proposal after conversion from other departments. He told that experts of the Union Urban Development Ministry will now examine this proposal on the parameters.
It is expected that in the three months the result of the third round of the Smart City mission will be announced. On the basis of better motivation, he has expressed hope of joining Ghaziabad’s name in the smart city mission this time.
