Smart City Contest – The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has come up with a Smart Cities Awards Contest, 2017 under which a prize money of more than Rs. Rs 50 lakh for the promotion of the competition among Smart Cities and measuring the quality and impact of projects undertaken under the flagship program.
Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has decided to develop three integrated sub-cities in Dwarka, Narela and Rohini. The authority will release the tenders in next month and it will also start work for Yamuna river front development by October 2.
Today, the central government has finally announced the names of 30 more cities to be developed as smart cities. Here is the list of the smart cities selected under the smart cities mission.
Smart Cities 3rd List – As per a government release, the central government is going to announce the names of the last set of cities to be made smart under its flagship 100 Smart City scheme today.
On Monday, the Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao has requested to the Central government to include Karimnagar in Smart Cities List under Smart City Mission. The Minister met with Mr. Venkaiah Naidu in Delhi and requested him to include Karimnagar in the Smart Cities List.
