The union mission has already as announced that the second phase of smart cities will ave deadline on 15 th April 2016. Moreover, the given has asked the concern bodies to concentration in the proposal so as to get selected in the second phase of the challenge.
Lucknow Municipal Corporation is said to have set to create awareness among people about the significance of Smart City Challenge among the citizens. Apart from social media promotions and other outdoor activities, the municipal corporation is also said have launched LED Vans throughout the city on March 29, 30 and 31 2016 the last three days of the campaign to speed up the awareness programme and engage more and more citizens for this campaign.
Additional Municipal Commissioner PK Srivastava said “We are introducing multiple LED vans at various location of the city to spread the awareness of the Smart City Challenge and promote citizen engagement for their suggestions and ideas in preparing the Final Draft of the Lucknow Smart City Proposal (Fast Track Round).” This is the second round of selection for Smart Cities based upon revised proposal and people’s participation.
Commissioner PK Srivastavafuter said “After the overwhelming response of online & offline citizen engagements for last 20 days, it would be desirable to inculcate the high spirit of the citizens towards making the mission ‘Art City to Smart City‘ a big success.”
